The process will require temporary molds that are derived from a part of master pattern or the mater pattern itself. A lot of prototypes of products that cut across will be made through this process. This process is also widely used in the event where the main materials used to make a product cannot be used in rapid prototyping.
Urethane happens to be very cost-effective and will also match the properties of the main material being used to make the product. A lot of the mass-produced products come in different parts that are then assembled. Here manufacturers can make use of urethane where they duplicate parts and all that is achieved with point precision. Working with the mold is pretty easy because in that state its very flexible and it allows for capturing of all curves and dimensions of what is being cast. The mold that will be used in the casting process will be produced with room temperature vulcanized silicone. A number of processes can be used to make the master pattern that will eventually be used in making the mold for casting. The most suitable to the manufacturer will be the method of choice. The most common of the methods will be lithography. In this process there will be a combination of ultraviolet resins through an additional process will be used with ultraviolet lasers and that way help in casting three dimensions.
This master pattern will be made by observing the specifications that are required and with special considerations, room temperature silicone will be added to it. The master pattern needs to be suspended as the silicone is being added. This master pattern needs to be well encased and left to cure properly before it can be retrieved and the process allowed to continue. Casts can be made into anything depending on the industry. Prototypes should not be tested at the end of the process, the main material instead should because it’s what goes to use. Aside from marketing, the prototypes will be used in product descriptions as well. It is economical to use the prototypes this way.
